I have been making pottery for over twenty years, primarily mid-range functional stoneware, though I like to play around with lots of different methods and materials. Lately I have been working in a porcelain-like white stoneware and using a thick slip application for texture and movement. The slip texture does a great job of catching the oxides when I spray them over a glaze, making an interesting and varied surface I haven't come close to getting bored with yet. We'll see how long I keep at this method before it evolves into the next thing.
